Priyanka Chaturvedi On Bangladesh Election: Shiv Sena’s (UBT) firebrand MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has given big statements regarding the recent election developments in Bangladesh and the internal politics of India. While talking to the media in Delhi, on one hand he expressed hope for the restoration of democracy in the neighboring country Bangladesh, while on the other hand he termed the recent session of the Indian Parliament as a violation of constitutional decorum.
‘Rahman era’ in Bangladesh and expectations from india
Expressing happiness over Tariq Rahman’s victory in Bangladesh elections and his new responsibility, Priyanka Chaturvedi congratulated him. He said that I congratulate Tariq Rehman on this big victory. Bangladesh has handed him this responsibility after a long struggle and economic instability. Emphasizing on regional security, Chaturvedi said that India hopes that the new government will stay away from the negative influence of countries like Pakistan, thereby maintaining peace in South Asia. Along with international issues, Priyanka Chaturvedi took a tough stance on domestic politics and the functioning of Parliament. He criticized the recently concluded Parliament session, calling it the ‘most tainted session in history’. told. He alleged that during this period every democratic rule was violated and an attempt was made to suppress the voice of the opposition.
Chaturvedi said that the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) was not allowed to speak in Parliament. The Prime Minister made unfair allegations against women MPs and unfortunate situations like no-confidence motion against the Speaker arose. He further said that the language used by an MP against former Prime Ministers was extremely shameful. He also termed the case of registering an FIR against the book of the former Army Chief as an attack on freedom of expression.

Demand for upcoming budget and accountability
Priyanka Chaturvedi sought accountability from the government and said that there is no information about what happened to the announcements of the previous budget. He expressed hope that in the upcoming budget session, there will not be only announcements, but the parliamentary committees will have a comprehensive discussion on the proper utilization of the allocated funds.
