After Varanasi, many courts including Lucknow, Ayodhya and Mirzapur received bomb threats.
Lucknow. After Varanasi, an email has been received threatening to bomb the courts of many districts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Meerut, Mirzapur. Police teams from the concerned court complex along with bomb disposal squad and dog squad conducted a search but no suspicious object was found. Security has been increased in the court premises. ATS, STF and security investigation agency have become alert.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vishwajit Srivastava said that information about a bomb in the Civil Court, Lucknow court premises was sent through an email. As soon as this information was received, police teams and dog squad teams conducted a thorough investigation at all the places in the court premises. The lawyers checked their bags and the surrounding areas but did not find any items. During this period there was an atmosphere of chaos in the court premises. In view of the incident, the security of Kachhari complex has been increased as a precautionary measure. Teams have been formed to investigate this matter.
Similarly, information about a bomb was received in Ayodhya court. All the police officers along with the force reached the spot. Bomb disposal squad and dog squad conducted a thorough investigation but no explosive material was found. CO City Shriyash Tripathi said that taking this matter seriously, the security of the court premises has been increased. Apart from this, Mirzapur Kachhari had also received a bomb threat. The District Judge informed the District Bar about the matter. After the threat, heavy police force reached the court area and conducted a thorough search but no suspicious items were found.
Earlier, a threat was received to blow up the court complex in Varanasi district. This threat was sent to the official e-mail ID of the District Judge at around 1:30 am last night. In the morning, the District Judge informed Central Bar Association President Prem Prakash Singh Gautam in this regard. Under the leadership of DCP Varuna Pramod Kumar and Cantt police station in-charge, an intensive search operation was conducted by cordoning off the entire court premises. No suspicious object was found during thorough investigation.
Police and security investigation agencies have become alert after receiving threats to blow up court premises. Preliminary investigation has found that this message has come from Tamil Nadu. But since nothing was found anywhere, it seems to be the action of some deranged or mischievous elements. However, taking the threat seriously, the security of the court premises has been increased. With the help of surveillance and cyber cell, those making threats are being searched.
