Increase in vata can also cause pain above and between the eyes, beneficial remedies are mentioned in Ayurveda.

Often the problem of headache occurs due to continuous work on the screen for a long time or due to excessive use of mobile, but not every headache is caused only due to prolonged use of the screen. Some people suffer from heavy head and pain near the eyebrows as soon as they wake up in the morning, the reason behind which is incomplete sleep and the neuro-hormonal imbalance affected by it.

Science believes that the eyebrow area above the eyes is connected to the frontal sinus and trigeminal nerve. When sleep is not complete, there is severe pain between the eyebrows, due to which the balance of serotonin and melatonin hormones present in the brain gets disturbed, which leads to headache as well as tension on the eye muscles.

Whereas in Ayurveda, it has been linked to increase in Vata in the body and lack of sleep. When Vata increases in the body, sleep gets affected and lack of sleep affects the entire nervous system, causing headaches, pain and heaviness in the eyes. Many simple remedies related to this problem have been suggested in Ayurveda. The first is Nasya method. In this method, put a few drops of desi ghee in the nose before sleeping at night. It reduces dryness of the nose and reduces difficulty in breathing.

The second is massage of the soles. There are many pressure points present on the soles which provide many benefits to the body and are helpful in inducing sleep. Massaging the soles at night will be beneficial to reduce tiredness throughout the day and expel toxins. The use of Brahmi or Jatamansi has also been suggested to get relief from headache. By consuming it, the mind remains calm and sleep also comes easily and well.

Along with this, eye wash with Triphala water will also provide relief. For this, washing with Triphala mixed in cold water will reduce eye fatigue. At night, milk of turmeric, black pepper and nutmeg is helpful in inducing sleep and also helps in calming the brain. Consuming it at night provides peace to the body and mind and also provides energy to the body.
