Bail to Bollywood director Vikram Bhatt in Rs 30 crore fraud case

Film director Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambari Bhatt have got a big relief in the fraud case of Rs 30 crore. The couple has been granted interim bail in the case by the Supreme Court and directed to return the fraudulent money as soon as possible.

Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambari Bhatt had moved the Supreme Court and filed a bail petition after not getting relief in the Udaipur Sessions Court. While hearing the case today, the court has granted bail to the couple after some restrictions and instructions. The CJI issued a notice to the Rajasthan government on the matter and also ordered the couple to be released on bail bond. The court has also directed that the couple will have to cooperate fully in the investigation and will have to stay in Delhi during this investigation and will also have to surrender their passports to the police. The next hearing of the case will be on Thursday.

Let us tell you that Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambari Bhatt had promised to return the huge money after investing in the film, but refused to return the money after the shooting of some films. Actually, Dr. Ajay Murdia, founder of Indira Group of Companies, had met Vikram Bhatt and he wanted to get his wife’s biopic made. There was talk of producing 4 films between the two and Ajay Murdia had also given Rs 44.29 crore as investment, but after the shooting of some films the matter cooled down.

Vikram Bhatt started hesitating when he asked for the money back and finally the founder of the company had to approach the court. Earlier, Vikram Bhatt had filed a bail petition in the Sessions Court of Udaipur, but the court, while hearing the petition, had refused to grant bail. Apart from this, a case of fraud of Rs 13.5 crore is also going on against Vikram Bhatt, which is related to the investment of films. In this case, a complaint was lodged by a businessman at the police station on January 24 and the Economic Offenses Wing is investigating the case.
