Notorious criminal and shooter Shoaib Kidwai alias Bobby, associated with Mukhtar Ansari gang, was shot dead in broad daylight on Friday (February 13) afternoon in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. This sensational incident that took place on the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway spread panic in the area. Police have started investigating the matter and are investigating from many angles including old rivalry and gang war.
According to the police, Shoaib was returning home from Lucknow on Friday (February 13) afternoon. As soon as his car reached near Aseni turn on Deva Road on the highway, the attackers who had already ambushed him surrounded him from all sides. After this, the miscreants in the car started firing rapidly. Eyewitnesses say that about 10 to 15 rounds of bullets were fired, due to which there was chaos on the highway and the pedestrians started running here and there to save their lives.
Shoaib, seriously injured in the firing, fell inside the car. With the help of local people and police, he was immediately taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police have recovered several shells from the incident site. The attackers fled from the spot after committing the crime.
After the murder, police and administrative officials reached the spot and started investigation. The footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby is being scrutinized so that the attackers can be identified. The forensic team has also inspected the incident site and collected evidence. Due to the incident, traffic on the highway was affected for some time.
According to police records, Shoaib Kidwai alias Bobby’s name had already appeared in many criminal cases including the famous jailer murder case. He has been described as a sharp shooter of Mukhtar Ansari gang. In the initial investigation, old enmity, gang war or fight for criminal supremacy is suspected to be the reason behind the murder, although the police has not yet officially confirmed any reason.
After the incident, additional police force has been deployed in the area. Police officials say that special teams have been formed and the accused are being searched on the basis of call details, technical evidence and CCTV footage. Officials have assured that soon the murder will be revealed and the accused will be arrested. At present, the concrete reason for the murder has not been revealed, but the way the incident was carried out in a planned manner, it is clear that the attackers were professionals and had arrived with full preparation. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly.
