Family scolded for hanging out with boys, 5 friends consumed poison, cremated on the same pyre
Bihar News: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Aurangabad district of Bihar, which has stunned the entire country. In Saidpur Moti Bigha village of Haspura police station area, five teenage girls consumed poison together, out of which four friends died. This whole incident is as sad as it is shocking. It is being told that these girls, hurt by minor scolding from their family members, took the dreadful step of embracing death.
The incident took place on the evening of 29 January. The only surviving girl told that the five friends had gone to a pond near the village. There he consumed poisonous medicine that kills birds on the pretext of tasting it. Shortly after consuming the medicine, all four friends started writhing in pain and died on the spot. The fifth girl tasted the medicine and immediately spit it out, which saved her life. Out of fear, she ran home and narrated her ordeal to her family members, after which she was saved by giving her a solution of Neem.
Why did you take such a step?
The reason behind this mass suicide is now gradually becoming clear. According to Daudnagar SDPO Ashok Kumar, these girls were roaming with some friends on the evening of Saraswati Puja. When the family members saw them, they reprimanded them due to public shame and discipline. Angered by this scolding, these innocent girls of 12 to 15 years of age decided to end their lives.

Due to fear of legal process from society and police, the family members tried to suppress the matter. The villagers hurriedly cremated the four dead girls on the same pyre. When the media team reached the village, there was complete silence and the villagers were hesitant in saying anything. The father of a deceased girl, who works as a laborer in Maharashtra, is also unable to accept that his daughter could take such a step at such a young age.
