Team India ready to destroy Usman Tariq, Ishan Kishan roared before the IND-PAK match

Usman Tariq, Ishan Kishan: Team India continued its winning streak with its second consecutive win in the T20 World Cup 2026. After achieving a big win against Namibia, Team India’s next mission is Pakistan. Ishan Kishan talked in the press conference about the preparations of Team India for the match against Pakistan.

India opener Ishan Kishan ignored the growing discussion in the media about Pakistani spinner Usman Tariq ahead of the high-voltage match of the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 to be held at the R Premadasa Stadium on February 15.

What did Ishaan say about Usman Tariq?

Speaking after India’s match against Namibia, Kishan made it clear that the team is not thinking much about the threat of Usman Tariq. In his last game, the Indian batsman faced Namibian captain Gerhard Erasmus, whose slinging action is considered to be similar to Tariq. Despite India scoring more than 200 runs, Erasmus took 4 wickets.

However, Ishan Kishan insisted that facing Gerhard Erasmus was not specifically seen as preparation for Tariq. He stressed that India have already done their homework and they will focus on seeing the ball and playing naturally. Ishan Kishan said, ‘We have already made preparations. It’s just about seeing the ball and playing your natural game. If the ball is there to be hit, we will go for it but we have to rely on our strength.

Pakistan’s spin attack

Pakistan’s spin attack looks tremendous in this World Cup, which includes Abrar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Sam Ayub along with Usman Tariq. The conditions in Colombo are expected to favor spin, so the contest could be fierce. Team India’s batsmen are also fully prepared to face them.

Will Abhishek Sharma return in India-Pak match?

Let us tell you that Team India’s next match in the T20 World Cup is against Pakistan. Team India will face Pakistan on 15th February at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. It remains to be seen whether the explosive opener Abhishek Sharma returns from the Indian team in this match or not because captain Suryakumar Yadav, while giving an update about him on Thursday, February 12, had said that Abhishek still has time to recover due to which he may miss one or two matches.
