Bangladesh Election 2026 Result : Voting for parliamentary elections took place in Bangladesh on Thursday. After which the counting of votes is going on and Bangladesh Nationalist Party led by Tariq Rahman seems to be getting majority. Whereas the fundamentalist Jamaat-e-Islami has been rejected by the people of Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Indian PM Narendra Modi has congratulated Tariq Rehman for his victory.

On PM Modi’s congratulatory message, BNP’s Poll Coordination Committee Chief Nazrul Islam Khan said, “We also thank him on behalf of our party and we are confident that under the leadership of our leader Tariq Rehman, relations between these two countries and the people of these two countries will strengthen.”
Let us tell you that in the results that have come out so far, the alliance of Tariq Rehman’s party has won 209 seats and achieved two-thirds majority in the 300-member Jatiya Sangsad or the House of the Nation. It surpassed the 193 seats it had won in 2001. Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami suffered a setback, being restricted to double-digit seats, while the results kept coming slowly, indicating the comeback of BNP.
