Nissan Gravite Compact MPV: New Teaser Video Shows Touchscreen, Removable Rear Seats
Nissan is all set to start a new chapter in India with its new products. The first one to be launched is the 7-seater MPV, Gravite. We have already seen several images and videos of this B-segment 7-seater MPV. The Gravite is scheduled to be launched in the market on 17th February this year. Before the official launch, Nissan has now released a new TVC for the upcoming Gravite MPV.
The video has been shared by Nissan India, and in it, we see how spacious and flexible the cabin of the upcoming Gravite is. The Nissan Gravite is being marketed as an MPV made in India and made for India. In this particular video, we get a glimpse of the interior of the Gravite.
The first thing we see is the third-row seats. The MPV gets flexible third-row seating. What this means is that one can remove the last row of seats if it is not being used. This space can then be converted into a boot to carry luggage.
In this video, we also see the touchscreen infotainment system and the fully digital instrument cluster of the Gravite. The infotainment screen and the instrument cluster appear to be the same units as those in Nissan’s popular SUV, the Magnite.
The video also highlights the handling, ride quality, and performance. We even hear the actors say how fatigue-free the drive feels in the new Gravite. Other details visible in the teaser include the interior theme. The MPV will get a black and ice grey or beige-themed cabin, which gives it an upmarket feel. It will also offer plenty of storage options and AC vents for all three rows for a comfortable experience.
Nissan Gravite
The Nissan Gravite is a B-MPV based on the same platform as the Renault Triber. It is, in fact, a badge-engineered version of the Triber with cosmetic changes that give it a Nissan-like identity.
The MPV gets a larger front grille, like other Nissan models, with the logo at the centre. There is Gravite branding on the bonnet, and the headlamp design is similar to that of the Triber. There are LED DRLs and a chrome element that runs between the lights.
The design of the bumper is also different from the Triber. It will have C-shaped elements on the bumper with orange inserts, giving it a muscular look. These elements meet the faux skid plate on the lower part of the bumper. The fog lamps are LED units, like the headlamps, and are integrated within the bumper.
As seen in the video, the Gravite won’t come with alloy wheels from the factory. Instead, it will offer flex wheels, which are wheel caps designed to look like alloys. The MPV’s silhouette will remain the same as the Triber, with roof rails and side cladding in similar areas.
As we move to the rear, the Gravite will get smoked clear-lens LED tail lamps. The tailgate design is likely to remain the same, and the bumper of the MPV will get the same C-shaped silver elements as the front.
Engine
The engine in this B-MPV will be the same as the Triber. It will be offered with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 72 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque. It will be available with both manual and AMT gearbox options.
