PM Modi inaugurated the new building of Prime Minister’s Office ‘Seva Teerth’, took big decisions on the very first day
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new building of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) ‘Seva Tirtha’ on Friday. Till now the Prime Minister’s Office operated from South Block on Raisina Hill, but now it has been shifted to the new ‘Seva Teerth’ complex on the duty path. Took charge of his new office ‘Seva Teerth’ complex from South Block, which was the hallmark of the colonial era. This day was also special, because on 13 February, in the year 1931, New Delhi was formally inaugurated as the capital of modern India.

This complex is about one kilometer away from South Block. The offices of the Cabinet Secretariat and the National Security Council Secretariat, which were located at different places, will come together. The new building has been built under the Central Vistra Project. The building looks grand and smart in the pictures. The chair on which PM Modi is sitting has the national symbol of India attached to the back of that chair. Looking at the wooden chairs and the color of the room, it can be clearly understood that the new PMO has been designed to be airy, full of light, perfect in terms of security and keeping in mind the smart workforce.
New beginning with the message of ‘Nagarik Devo Bhava’
The Prime Minister garlanded the statue of Lord Ganesha installed in the campus. Its name is inscribed in Devanagari on the wall of the Seva Tirtha and the mantra ‘Nagrik Devo Bhava’ is written below, reflecting the spirit of citizen-centric governance. On this occasion, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Minister of State Jitendra Singh and senior officials were present.
PM relief scheme approved
As soon as he started working from the new office, the Prime Minister signed many important decisions. These include the launch of ‘PM RAHAT Scheme’. Under this scheme, cashless treatment up to Rs 1.5 lakh will be provided to the persons injured in road accidents, so that no one dies due to lack of timely treatment.
‘Lakhpati Didi’ aims to double
The government has already achieved the target of three crore ‘Lakhpati Didis’, which was completed a year ahead of the deadline. Now the Prime Minister has set a new target of increasing this number to six crore by March 2029. This step is being considered a big step towards the economic empowerment of women.
Big announcement for farmers
To strengthen the agriculture sector, ‘Agriculture Infrastructure Fund’ has been increased to Rs 2 lakh crore. This will help in strengthening the agricultural value chain and providing better storage and processing facilities to the farmers.
Startup India Fund 2.0 approved
‘Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0’ has been approved with a corpus of Rs 10,000 crore to promote innovation and emerging technologies. Its objective is to provide financial support to deep tech, advanced manufacturing and early stage innovations.
