India AI Impact Summit: This global summit, organized at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from 16 to 20 February, is being held to give direction to the future of Artificial Intelligence. It will be attended by more than 40 global CEOs including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and NVIDIA head Jensen Huang. The summit aims to build global consensus on safe use of AI, policy making and India’s sovereign AI model by bringing together government, industry and research.
Which legends will be on stage?
Big personalities from the tech and policy world will be seen together in this summit. Names like Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and NVIDIA head Jensen Huang are included. According to the organizers, more than 40 Indian and international CEOs will participate in different sessions.
AI collaboration between government and private sector will be a major highlight of this summit. An attempt is being made to decide the future direction of AI by bringing policy making, investment and technical leadership into a single frame.
700+ sessions, focusing on AI Impact Expo and Sovereign AI
There will be more than 700 sessions over five days, in which issues like AI safety, governance, ethical use and data protection will be discussed. There will also be an in-depth discussion on developing technology according to India’s sovereign AI model and local needs.
The main attraction of the summit is AI Impact Expo, which will be spread over an area of more than 70 thousand square meters. In this, more than 300 exhibitors from 30 countries will show real uses of AI in healthcare, agriculture, education, climate and energy sectors. The objective is clear, not to limit AI to the lab only but to show its impact on the ground.
Skilling, society and three-point agenda
Skilling and inclusion programs like AI for ALL, AI by HER and YUVAi will gain prominence in the summit. There will be special emphasis on increasing the participation of youth and women, so that the benefits of AI development reach a wider section of the society.
The entire program is based on the three principles of People, Planet and Progress. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the inauguration ceremony. On the last day, the next direction of global AI cooperation will be decided through the GPAI Council meeting and the Leaders Declaration.
