Five people from MP died in car-trailer collision on Jaipur-Kota highway

A horrific road accident took place in the early hours of Saturday in Chaksu area near Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, in which five people died tragically. This accident happened at around 5:30 in the morning near Tigriya turn on National Highway 52, when a car traveling at high speed collided with the trailer running in front from behind. The collision was so severe that the car was completely damaged and the people in it were badly trapped.

According to the police, all the people in the car were residents of Jabalpur and were coming towards Jaipur for some work. Initial investigation has revealed that the main reason for the accident could be the driver taking a nap. It is believed that due to the driver suddenly falling asleep, the vehicle lost its balance and the car collided directly with the trailer moving ahead.

In this accident, four people including a woman died on the spot, while another seriously injured youth died on the way to the hospital. The intensity of the collision was so high that the car was blown to pieces and the police and the rescue team had to work hard to pull out the bodies.

The deceased have been identified as Reshma Srivastava, Piyush Rai, Rahul Rajak and driver Anurag. Another deceased has not been identified yet. All the bodies have been kept safe in the mortuary of the local hospital for postmortem. The family members have been informed about the accident and further process will be completed after their arrival.

After the accident, there was a long jam on the highway, due to which traffic was affected for a long time. As soon as the information was received, police and emergency response team reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. With the help of cranes, the traffic was gradually normalized by removing the accident vehicles.

Police officials said that a detailed investigation of the matter is being done. Initially, carelessness and sleepiness of the driver are being considered as the main reasons for the accident. This incident has once again highlighted the need for road safety and caution while traveling long distances.
