Now you do not need to visit offices, rather you can become a part of this scheme sitting at home through your mobile or laptop. Under this scheme, financial help is being sent directly to the eligible beneficiaries to build a new house or complete an incomplete house in their bank account. Housing Scheme Target: Direct help of ₹ 1.20 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is not just a brick-and-mortar house, but a guarantee of a secure future: Financial assistance: An amount of up to ₹ 1,20,000 is given in three installments to the beneficiaries to build a house in rural areas. Subsidy on Loan: Heavy Subsidy on Home Loan Interest (CLSS) is provided to middle class families in urban areas, which significantly reduces the EMI burden. Improvement in standard of living: Along with the house, the facility of toilet, electricity connection and gas connection under the Ujjwala scheme is also ensured under the scheme. Who will be eligible? (Eligibility Criteria)The benefits of the scheme will be available only to those who fulfill these conditions:Income limit: The total annual income of the family should not exceed ₹ 2.5 lakh.Pucca house: There should not be any pucca house in the name of the applicant or any of his family members anywhere in India.Government job: If any member of the family is in government service, they will be ineligible for this scheme.Availability of plot: It is mandatory for the applicant to have his own land for rural housing. Checklist of documents required for application: Before starting the application, keep these documents ready with you: Aadhar Card: of all family members. Ration Card: BPL or priority category. Certificate: Income Certificate and Domicile Certificate. Bank Passbook: To receive the subsidy amount (must be linked to Aadhar). Photo: Latest passport size photograph of the applicant. PM Awas Yojana: Step-by-step process of online application You can fill your form by following these easy steps. Can fill: Go to the portal: First log in to the official website pmaymis.gov.in. Citizen Assessment: Select ‘Citizen Assessment’ option on the homepage and select your category (like BLC or Slum Dweller). Aadhaar Verification: Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and click on ‘Check’. Fill the form: After Aadhaar verification the application form will open. Fill in your name, current address, total family income and land details. Documents and Submit: Scan and upload all the required documents and ‘Save’ or ‘Submit’ by entering the captcha code. Important Tip: Take a print out of the ‘Application ID’ or registration number received after submitting the form. Through this number you will be able to track the status of your application in future.
