Margot Robbie sheds light on co-dependency comment about Jacob Elordi
Margot Robbie has recently opened up about her comment on “co-dependency” with her co-star Jacob Elordi in Wuthering Heights.
Earlier, the Barbie star sparked buzz online with her off-screen relationship with Jacob, especially after she confessed to being “co-dependent” on her male lead.
“I’m so co-dependent with people I work with, and I love everyone so much, and I’m always that person who’s so devastated when a job’s over and I never want it to end,” said Margot while speaking to Fandango ahead of her movie’s release.
The Australian actress, who plays the role of Catherine Earnshaw in an adaptation of Emily Bronte’s novel, told the outlet, “I think I developed that quite quickly with Jacob, too.”
Margot’s comment created a lot of rumours online with people accusing her and Jacob of trying to setup a fake affair to sell their movie.
However, in her latest interview with Glamour UKthe Oscar nominee, who shares one son with husband Tom Ackerley, clarified that things were “blown” out of proportion.
“Unfortunately, that whole co-dependency thing has been really taken out of context and blown way up,” explained the 35-year-old.
Margot further said, “What I was saying was we had a really fun time, all of us working on this film.”
“I really love making movies, and when I get to make them with really cool people that you become friends with, it’s really sad when the job ends,” she concluded.
