On the 7th anniversary of Pulwama attack, the country paid tribute to the martyrs, many leaders including PM Modi paid tribute –
Tezzbuzz Desk- On the anniversary of the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir on 14 February 2019, tributes were paid to the martyred soldiers across the country. 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers were martyred in this attack.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while paying tribute to the martyrs on the social media platform ‘X’, said that their courage and dedication to the country will always remain an inspiration. He wrote that the sacrifice of the heroes who lost their lives in Pulwama gives strength to every Indian and the nation will never forget their service.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to the martyred soldiers. He said that this cowardly attack reminds the country of the serious threat of terrorism. He assured that India is steadfast in its fight against terrorism and the government is fully committed to the security of the country.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi also paid emotional tribute to the martyrs while remembering them. He said that the country will always be indebted to these supreme sacrifices made in protecting Mother India.
Vice President CP Radhakrishnan said that the sacrifice of the soldiers martyred in Pulwama will always remain engraved in the memory of the nation and will continue to inspire the coming generations to build a strong and secure India.
It is noteworthy that on 14 February 2019, a suicide attack was carried out on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. At that time a convoy of about 2,500 soldiers was traveling in 78 buses. The terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed had taken responsibility for this attack.
Pulwama attack is considered a day of deep shock for the country and every year on 14 February, the courage and sacrifice of the martyred soldiers is remembered by paying tribute to them.
