Kolkata. England defeated Scotland by five wickets in the ICC T20 World Cup Group C match here on Saturday, thanks to a half-century by Tom Banton (63 not out) after a brilliant performance by the spin bowlers. The entire Scotland team was all out for 152 runs in 19.4 overs.

For England, Adil Rashid took three wickets while Liam Dawson and Joffra Archer took two wickets each. England won by scoring 155 runs for five wickets in 18.2 overs with Banton’s unbeaten half-century of 41 balls studded with four fours and three sixes.
