In a recent interview, Sunny told that there is a possibility of changing the title of this film.
The title of ‘Lahore 1947’ may be changed
Sunny said, “I have many films in the line, one of them is ‘Lahore 1947’… It is possible that the title may change or remain the same. The film is based on a famous play and will be released in theaters around August 15.” Rajkumar Santoshi is directing this film, while Aamir Khan is producing it. It is a period drama set against the backdrop of the Partition of 1947, based on the play ‘Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai’ written by Asghar Wajahat.
Karan Deol will also debut
According to reports, Santoshi had earlier narrated the story to Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, but things did not work out. Now he is making a film with his first choice Sunny Deol, about which he is very excited. Sunny’s son Karan Deol will also be seen in this film. The cast includes many names like Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh. Music AR Rahman and the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar.
