Actor Dhanush trapped in 10 year old case, got legal notice of Rs 20 crore, what is the allegation?

Actor Dhanush stuck in legal trouble
Dhanush Legal Notice: Tamil actor Dhanush has received a legal notice of Rs 20 crore. The actor has received this notice for leaving the film incomplete. According to the notice, Dhanush has been given time till the end of 2026 to complete the film. If they do not do so, they will have to pay Rs 20 crore and Rs 1 crore as additional compensation. This case is of 2016, which is related to the film ‘Naan Rudran’.
According to the notice given to Dhanush, actor Dhanush signed a film in the year 2016 and later backed out. When the production house raised objection, he promised to direct another film with the company and also act in it, but he did not do so.
Why was notice given to Dhanush?
This legal notice has been issued to Dhanush by Advocate A Chidambaram. The production house which issued this notice. According to him, the company trusted Dhanush’s promise and spent around Rs 20 crore. Along with Dhanush, Nagarjuna and SJ Surya were also included in the film and their payments were also made. After this the film was stopped midway. Dhanush did not even get the complete script and gave his dates for other projects. Even after this, the promise was not fulfilled, due to which the company had to issue a notice.

What’s in the notice?
According to the legal notice received by Dhanush, actor Dhanush has been given 1 week’s time to reply. Along with this, he has been asked whether he will complete this incomplete film by the end of 2026 or not. In such a situation, if Dhanush completes the film, he will neither have to face legal action nor have to make any payment. If they do not do so, they may have to face both compensation and legal action. The company has demanded Rs 20 crore from Dhanush along with Rs 1 crore as additional compensation.
