Salman Ali Aga called Usman Tariq ‘trump card’, said – no dispute on bowling action

Game Desk: Pakistan cricket team captain Salman Ali Aga reacted to the ongoing discussions about Pakistan fast bowler Usman Tariq ahead of the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 match on Sunday. Aga said that the ICC has completely cleared Usman Tariq’s bowling action and these discussions have no impact on him.

Salman Ali Aga termed Usman Tariq as the “trump card” for Pakistan and said that he is performing excellently with his bowling. “All 15 players are important for us and Usman Tariq is definitely a trump card for us. He is bowling well, and the ICC has cleared him, so I don’t understand why there is discussion about it,” he said in the press conference.

Usman Tariq recently recorded impressive figures of 3/27 in 4 overs against USA, although many controversies were raised regarding his sidearm bowling action. Many people believe that he is chucking, while others say that his action is absolutely correct.

Salman Ali Aga acknowledged Pakistan’s poor record against India, saying, “Our record against India is not good, but every day is a new day and we cannot change history.”

Both India and Pakistan have played two matches each in the tournament so far and both have won. Under the leadership of Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav, India is on top, while Pakistan is at second place. Both the teams will meet at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, and the match will be important for both.
