Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Assam’s capital Guwahati on Saturday. Prime Minister Modi said, “Today the country did not get another emergency landing strip; it is a proof that the new India is preparing in every way for its security. Today’s India is not only strengthening its borders but also retaliating to the enemies of the country by entering their homes. Today is the anniversary of the Pulwama attack. I pay tribute to the brave sons of Mother India who lost their lives in this attack. The whole world has seen how India punished the terrorists after this terrorist attack and some people shudder even today.” Narendra Modi said that you have also seen India’s power in Operation Sindoor.

Prime Minister Modi said that today’s Congress supports every ideology, every terrorist who thinks badly of the country. Those who dream of disintegration of the country, who raise slogans of secession of the North-Eastern states from India, have become worshipers of the Congress. He said, “The Muslim League divided the country at the time of independence. Today’s Congress, having become the Muslim League-Maoist Congress, is again involved in dividing the country. This is the MMC, so you have to be wary of the Congress.”

Strong criticism of Congress

Narendra Modi said, Congress Assam was kept in turmoil, violence and division. He said, “Since independence Assam has been surrounded by bombs, guns, blockade and curfew and the Congress is to blame for this. The BJP, NDA government is committed to restoring peace and rapid development in Assam. Hence, the same Assam that once reverberated with bomb blasts is now experiencing peace.”

Allegations of vote bank politics

Prime Minister Modi said, “The biggest reason for Congress’s decades of misrule is its appeasement policy and vote bank politics. Congress has always seen Assam through the lens of votes and has done everything to promote appeasement and prevent work that contributes to Assam’s development. During Congress rule, central government schemes took years to reach Assam, but BJP always prioritized development of Assam and the Northeast.”

Power to take decisions in national interest

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked whether the Congress ever had the courage to take decisions of national interest. He said, “At most, they can make statements, but they can do nothing. A Congress that refuses to recognize India as a nation, avoids even the name of Mother India, does not show respect to Mother India, that Congress can never do anything good for India. That is why Congress has never prioritized the security of the country.”
