Trupti Dimri came to O’Romeo Theatre, thanked Vishal-Shahid and star-cast
Actor Tripti Dimri has expressed her heartfelt thanks to director Vishal Bhardwaj, co-star Shahid Kapoor and the rest of the cast as their gangster romance **O’Romeo** releases in theaters on February 13, 2026.
In an Instagram post, Tripti talked about her character Afshan: “Afshan is not just a character, she is fire and fragility in the same breath. She feels deeply, loves deeply and fights with everything she has. This role challenged me, demanded honesty and took me out of my comfort zone, for which I will always be grateful.” He gave credit to Vishal Bhardwaj: “From @vishalrbhardwaj sir, I learned how to surrender to the character and how to truly live the truth of Afshan.”
Praising Shahid Kapoor, she wrote: “@shahidkapoor is a very hardworking and supportive co-star… It was a pleasure sharing the screen with him.” She also praised Avinash Tiwari (“From sharing a love story to becoming enemies, it’s been such a beautiful journey”), Vikrant Massey (“Your honesty and art makes every scene better”), and veteran actors Fareeda Jalal, Nana Patekar, and Tamannaah Bhatia (“It was really special to work with the amazing #FareedaJalal, @iamnanapatekar, @tamannaahspeaks”).
Trupti emphasized teamwork: “I have always believed that it takes a village to make a film and I am very proud of our entire cast and crew for putting their heart and soul into it. O’ Romeo is out in theaters now. Go see it and let Afshan make a place in your heart too.”
**O’Romeo**, a stylized underworld tale inspired by **Mafia Queens of Mumbai**, is the fourth film of Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj after **Kaminey**, **Haider** and **Rangoon**. The film has strong actors like Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwari, Vikrant Massey (special appearance), Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani and Farida Jalal. Initial reviews have praised the tremendous performance and chemistry between Shahid and Tripti, although some people say that the pace of the film is slow between action and romance.
