The Men in Blue are set to face their close neighbour and rival, Pakistan, on February 15. Pakistan had originally decided to boycott the match, but ultimately reversed its decision, paving the way for the match to happen as per the original schedule.
When did Pakistan last beat India in a T20I?
Pakistan last ever T20I victory against India came in the Super Four stage of the 2022 Asia Cup, held in Dubai.
India set a target of 181 in the first innings, with Virat Kohli leading the line, scoring 60 runs. Pakistan’s bowling attack delivered a solid performance with Mohammad Nawaz putting decent bowling figures of 1/25 whilst also making three catches.
Pakistan’s batting lineup delivered a strong chase for the target, with Mohammad Nawaz scoring 42 runs from 20 balls and Mohammad Rizwan adding 71 runs. Nawaz’s impressive all-rounde performance earned him the Player of the Match award as Pakistan won by five wickets.
