India and Pakistan will take the field on Sunday after a series of controversial events.

The two Asian giants have a long history of rivalry and cricket being the most followed sport in both countries intensifies it.

However, despite the anticipation, there is a possibility of rain ruining the day for fans who are hopping for a heated encounter after Pakistan overrturned thair decision to boycott the match.

The captains of both teams, Salman Ali Agha and Suryakumar Yadav ended in a banter ahead of the geame with Agha expresisng his hope to play againt young Indian batter Abhishek Sharma, hwo is recovering from stomach issue.

“I hope he plays tomorrow. I hope he’s recovering well. We want to play against the best.”, Agha said in pre-match presser.

He also commented on the rain threat saying “We cannot control that but we’re ready to make adjustments if the game gets shortened.”

In response, Suryakumar said if Pakistan wants to play against him, he will take the field on Sunday.

The match will be played in Premadasa stadium, Colombo.
