Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case update as SWAT raid and new names surface in Arizona search

It has been 12 days since Nancy Guthrie vanished from her home in Tucson, Arizona. The 84 year old mother of Savannah Guthrie was reported missing after what investigators believe was a kidnapping.

The FBI and local Arizona police are leading the search. Doorbell camera footage showed a masked and armed person outside her home. Another unmasked individual was also seen near her front door days before she disappeared.

On February 13, 2026, a SWAT team searched a house in Tucson less than 2 miles from where Nancy was taken. Pima County SWAT and even bomb squad units were deployed. Neighbours watched as officers entered the property and ordered people out.

At first, online rumours claimed the home belonged to Dominic Evans. Social media users linked him to the case because of his friendship with Tommaso Cioni, who is Nancy’s son in law. Evans is known as a former bandmate and longtime friend of Cioni. Some posts claimed he lived in Marana, Arizona, close to where the raid happened.

However, recent reports suggest the raid was not at Dominic Evans’ home.

Who is Baird Greene and why was his house searched

According to emerging reports, the property that was raided may belong to Baird Greene. He is an attorney working with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office in Tucson. He previously served as Chief Deputy at the Pima County Attorney’s Office.

Unverified claims say Greene may have rented the house to people who are now being looked at in connection with the case. During the raid, a man and a woman were reportedly detained and questioned.

Some outlets named the detained man as Jeremy Greene, who is said to be related to Baird Greene. Law enforcement agencies have not confirmed this. They have also not named any suspects or filed any public charges linked to the raid.

Officials have remained tight lipped. They have not confirmed whether the house searched was officially tied to the kidnapping investigation.

Tommaso Cioni speculation and latest FBI updates

As the investigation continues, public attention has shifted to Tommaso Cioni. He is married to Annie Guthrie and is part of Savannah Guthrie’s extended family.

When the FBI released footage of the masked suspect, some social media users began comparing the person’s build to Cioni. Online posts pointed to the suspect’s height, which was estimated between 5’9″ and 5’10”. Others mentioned facial hair and body type.

Speculation grew quickly. Some users claimed the intruder seemed familiar with the placement of the Nest camera outside Nancy’s home. They argued that the camera appeared to be deliberately avoided.

However, investigators have not publicly named Tommaso Cioni as a suspect. No official statement has confirmed any family member’s involvement.

In another major update, authorities revealed that DNA was recovered from Nancy’s property. The DNA does not match Nancy or her immediate close contacts. It is currently being analysed at a private lab in Florida.

For now, the FBI says they are focused on identifying the masked man seen in the footage. The case remains active. No arrests have been announced.

The search for Nancy Guthrie continues as investigators piece together every clue, while online speculation keeps adding new names into the spotlight.
