The District Magistrate took stock of the voter enrollment process under the special intensive revision campaign and gave instructions to the concerned officers.

The work being done under the special intensive revision campaign conducted in the district was inspected by District Magistrate BN Singh at Primary School Sahijan Khurd and Upper Primary School Sahijan Kala. During the inspection, he took information from the BLO regarding the process of adding voters’ names, making amendments and hearing through notices.
During this, the District Magistrate, while directing the concerned officers and BLOs, said that the process of inclusion of names in the voter list should be ensured by compulsorily filling Form-6 of the citizens who have completed 18 years of age. He clarified that no eligible voter should be deprived of registering his name in the voter list. For this, eligible youth should be made aware by running a contact campaign and cooperation of Kotedar should also be taken.
During this, he gave instructions to hear the cases issued by ERO in a timely and transparent manner and said that all claims and objections should be resolved within the stipulated time limit. The District Magistrate also obtained information about the number and progress of applications received so far from the BLO. The District Magistrate said that 100 percent registration of eligible voters is very important to strengthen democracy.
During the special campaign, work should be done with seriousness and responsibility to add maximum people to the voter list. During this, District Basic Education Officer Mukul Anand Pandey, Additional District Information Officer Vinay Kumar Singh along with school teachers and booth BLOs were present.
