New Rule For Change Of Date Of Birth In Aadhar Card: Changing date of birth in Aadhar Card is no longer easy, know what is the new rule of UIDAI?
Lucknow. Changing date of birth in Aadhar card is no longer easy. Now the rules for changing date of birth in Aadhar card have been tightened. Amar Ujala newspaper has given this news. In many places, cases of showing less age in the Aadhaar card instead of the actual date and year of birth have come to light. Till now people could get the date of birth changed in the Aadhar card by giving new documents related to birth, but now this will not happen. Prashant Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General of UIDAI, which issues the Aadhaar card, told the newspaper that now to change the date of birth in Aadhaar, amendment in the birth certificate itself has been made necessary. Separate birth certificates will no longer be considered valid for date of birth changes in Aadhaar.
The birth certificate contains a unique registration number. If the date of birth has to be changed in the Aadhar card, then the date of birth will have to be changed in the birth certificate first. That means the registration number of the birth certificate will remain the same. Now if any Aadhar card holder submits a new certificate of date of birth, it will not be accepted. It is not easy to change the date of birth in the birth certificate issued earlier. Proof related to different date of birth is sought. In such a situation, it has now become difficult to differentiate between other documents such as the date of birth recorded in the 10th board certificate and the date of birth recorded in the Aadhaar card. Now it will not be possible to cheat in government jobs or examinations by showing a different date of birth in the Aadhaar card.

According to the newspaper, statistics show that 80 percent of the applications for change in Aadhaar card are related to date of birth. Earlier, UIDAI had made a rule that people cannot change their date of birth more than once. To change the date of birth more than once, one had to go to the zonal office of UADAI related to Aadhar Card. Even after this, people used to get the date of birth changed in the Aadhar card by getting separate birth certificates made. A new rule has been brought to stop this. UIDAI has recently released a new Aadhaar app. Through which the holder himself can change the mobile number and address etc. UIDAI asks for proof for change of address. The address of which is changed when filed online.
