The company claims that this audio is only a few minutes long and its voice is not machine-like but in a natural, conversational style. This allows users to understand more information in less time, especially when they are multitasking.

Inspired by NotebookLM, you will get many controls

The feature is inspired by Google’s previously launched audio overviews, which debuted in NotebookLM and later came to the Gemini app. In Audio Summaries, users get different voice options like narrator, persuader and coach. Besides, facilities like changing playback speed, skipping forward and backward are also provided. Although the company has not said clearly, it is believed that this audio summary will be based only on the content inside the document and will not add any additional information from outside.

This feature is currently being made available to Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Google AI Ultra for Business add-on, Google AI Pro for Education add-on, as well as Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. The special thing is that no separate admin control has been given on this feature for the organization. This update can be especially useful for professionals, corporate employees and students who want to understand long reports or research in less time.
