33rd District Children’s Sports Competition started, players from nine blocks showed their talent
Firozabad. The 33rd District Children’s Sports Competition under Khelo India was inaugurated grandly at Dau Dayal Stadium. Sadar MLA Manish Asija was the chief guest of the program, while Basic Education Officer Ashish Kumar Pandey presided over it. Students from nine blocks of the district marched past and saluted the guests. The chief guest administered the oath of sportsmanship to the players and formally inaugurated the competition.
In his address, MLA Asija said that “Learn to respect players better than you, only then the real spirit of the game remains alive.” He said that “the game should always be played to win, but with discipline and respect.” He motivated the players to reach the national level through the Khelo India campaign. BSA Ashish Kumar Pandey said that sports are an integral part of education and such events develop self-confidence, discipline and team spirit in children.
In the competition, competitions were organized in various sports disciplines including athletics. The winners will be awarded certificates and medals. Education department officials, teachers and a large number of parents were present in the program.
