RCB gets approval to play in Chinnaswamy

Actually, for some time now, Royal Challengers Bangalore was worried about its home matches, for which it was looking for a new home-ground. Due to lack of decision from the Karnataka government, RCB had talked to Mumbai Indians regarding DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, but their talks did not work out. However, now the Karnataka government has taken a big decision in the cabinet meeting and has given approval to RCB to play at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The government placed the condition

Royal Challengers Bangalore has got permission to play in their home ground, but for this they will have to accept some conditions of the government. The state government has clearly said that there will be no compromise on security arrangements during the match. The franchise will have to take care of the safety of the fans. Apart from this, only 35,000 people can come to the stadium during the match.

There was a stampede in the victory parade

Royal Challengers Bangalore won their first IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings by 6 runs in the final of IPL 2025. To celebrate this victory, the franchise had organized a victory parade for its fans at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. During this, a large number of RCB fans reached outside the stadium and a stampede broke out there. In which about 11 people died, while many people were injured. After this accident, the Karnataka government took action and banned big events at this stadium.
