Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘O Romeo’ has become the talk of the town since its release in Valentine’s week. The film saw a significant increase in revenue on Saturday. Produced under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, “O Romeo” saw a significant increase from the first day. Meanwhile, the earnings of Sunny Deol’s “Border 2” and Rani’s “Mardaani 3” saw its impact, but “O Romeo” clearly dominated their collections. According to a report by Sacnik, Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri’s “O Romeo” collected ₹8.5 crore on its first day of release. As per initial estimates, the film earned ₹12.25 crore in India on its second day. The film had 4,747 shows and an average occupancy of 19.3 percent. So far, the film has grossed ₹20.75 crore in India. Its worldwide collection has reached ₹26.6 crore.

Shahid failed to surpass Kabir Singh
Shahid’s new film “O Romeo” has grossed far less than his biggest hit Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh. The movie ‘Kabir Singh’ released in 2019 earned 22.71 crores on the second day. Vishal Bhardwaj’s film has surpassed the opening day collection of Roshan Andrews’ Deva. The film ‘Deva’ opened with an estimate of 5.50 crores. On Friday, February 13, ‘O’ Romeo’ had a total occupancy of 14.86%. The morning show started well with 8.63%, which increased to 12.17% in the afternoon. Evening shows saw a slight increase and the attendance increased by 13.66%, while night shows saw the highest attendance at 24.97%.

Although the film was already doing poorly at the box office, it picked up over the weekend, especially on Valentine’s Day, beating Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’. ‘Mardaani 3’ has collected Rs 1.65 crore on day 16. Which took its total gross to Rs 43.15 crores and stands at 63.95 crores worldwide.
