Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Price Leak: Could This Electric SUV Change India’s EV Market?
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Price: India’s electric vehicle space is buzzing after a leaked price of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara surfaced online. If the viral screenshots are accurate, Maruti Suzuki may price its first electric SUV at around ₹24.79 lakh (ex-showroom). While the company has not officially confirmed this, the number has sparked huge interest and debate among car buyers.
At under ₹25 lakh, the e-Vitara could make electric SUVs far more accessible to Indian families. The model is expected to be built on Maruti’s new electric-focused platform and offer a premium cabin with a large touchscreen, connected features, and modern safety tech. It is also rumoured to feature an electric all-wheel-drive system, adding to its appeal beyond city use.
Battery expectations are strong too. Reports suggest two battery options, with a claimed driving range of over 500 km, which should ease range anxiety for long highway trips. Fast charging support is also likely, making daily usage more convenient.
If launched at this price, the e-Vitara will directly challenge EVs from MG Motor India and Hyundai, while also attracting buyers upgrading from petrol SUVs.
Social media reactions range from excitement to disbelief, but one thing is clear: if this leak turns out to be true, Maruti Suzuki could seriously shake up India’s electric SUV market in 2026.
