Attention Hundreds of roads in Delhi will remain closed from 16 to 20 February, traffic police issued advisory

New Delhi: India AI Impact Summit 2026 is going to be held at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan) in Delhi from 16 to 20 February. This is the first major AI summit in the Global South, in which leaders, ministers and experts from more than 45 countries will participate.

Delhi Police has issued a detailed advisory for traffic management in the city. Many major roads will remain closed or restricted, due to which airport, metro and railway routes may be affected.

Suggested alternative routes to the airport

Those going to Indira Gandhi International Airport (T1, T2, T3, T4) are advised to stay away from Central Delhi. Follow these routes.

  • Gurugram to T3/T4: ​​NH-48 → Rao Gajraj Singh Marg → UER II → Service Road NH-48 → T3 Road
  • T1 from Gurugram: NH-48 → Under Mahipalpur flyover → Ulan Batar Road → T1
  • Dwarka to all terminals: Sector-22 Dwarka Road → UER II (New Tunnel)
  • T3 from New Delhi/South Delhi: AIIMS Chowk → Ring Road → Moti Bagh → RTR Marg → Sanjay T-Point → Service Road NH-48
  • From West/North/East Delhi: Punjabi Bagh → Ring Road → Najafgarh Road → Pankha Road → Dabri → Dwarka → UER II → NH-48 Service Road

Ways to reach railway stations

  • New Delhi Railway Station: Kashmiri Gate → Rani Jhansi Marg → Ring Road → Rajghat → Vande Mataram Marg → Panchkuian Road → Outer Circle
  • Old Delhi Railway Station: Kashmiri Gate → Ring Road → SP Mukherjee Marg → Vande Mataram Marg → Rani Jhansi Flyover
  • Hazrat Nizamuddin: AIIMS → Ring Road → Ashram Chowk → Mathura Road (via alternate routes)

Advice on using metros

Delhi Metro will run normally. The nearest to the summit venue is Pragati Maidan Gate 10. For those coming by car, there is parking at Delhi Zoo, National Stadium and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Shuttle buses will be available from there. Instructions have been given to operators to improve the mobile network. The summit is an opportunity to make India a global leader in AI, but to avoid traffic jams, check the route in advance and use the metro.
