‘Nothing will happen just by running bulldozers, real change will come by winning hearts and healing wounds…’ Naseemuddin Siddiqui said before joining SP

Lucknow: Former UP cabinet minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui, who was once very close to BSP supremo Mayawati, is going to join the Samajwadi Party today. After leaving BSP in the year 20217, Siddiqui remained a part of Congress for about eight years. He left Congress on 24 January 2026, will join Samajwadi Party (SP).

Before joining Samajwadi Party, Naseemuddin Siddiqui said, “The concept of PDA was started by Akhilesh Yadav. PDA stands for Backward Classes, Dalits and Minorities. Along with this, he also paid attention to all sections of the society. Today, the Brahmin community is facing oppression on the basis of caste, and he has taken the lead on this issue too. Everything will not be solved by just running bulldozers. Real change will come by winning hearts and healing wounds… “

Siddiqui further said, “I have set my priority—the Samajwadi Party, its leader Akhilesh Yadav and the entire Samajwadi family. That is why today, along with my colleagues, 8-10 former MLAs and office-bearers of many other parties, I will take membership of the Samajwadi Party in about an hour.”
