Ranchi: Former minister and three-time MLA Dulal Bhuiyan has once again joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, he took membership of the party along with his supporters in a meeting organized at the BJP state office in Ranchi. Dulal Bhuiyan took membership in the presence of State President Aditya Sahu, Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi and other senior leaders. On this occasion, his sons Viplav Bhuiyan, Dilip Bhuiyan and Central Vice President of Bhuiyan Samaj Nunulal Bhuiyan also joined BJP along with their supporters. Apart from Jamshedpur Metropolitan BJP President Sanjeev Sinha, a large number of people of Bhuyan community from Ramgarh and Hazaribagh were present in this program.

After joining the BJP, Dulal Bhuiyan said, “Our joining the BJP today is a decision taken after a thoughtful meeting by the Bhuiyan community. This decision was taken in a meeting held in Ambedkar Nagar, Namkum. This step has been taken in view of the works of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” He further said, “In such a big party, the Bhuiyan community is getting respect only in BJP. I have been continuously keeping the Bhuiyan community united since 1980. Due to Mahashivratri, we have come in limited numbers.” Dulal Bhuiyan entered BJP after taking blessings from Aditya Sahu, Babulal Marandi, Raghuvar Das, Vidyut Baran Mahato and CP Singh. He took an oath that now he will not go anywhere leaving BJP. He launched a scathing attack on JMM and said, “When Dishom Guru (Shibu Soren) was alive, JMM was a party of struggle, but today it has become Hemant Soren’s pocket party. We were harassed. No other party except BJP can give respect to the Bhuiyan community.”

Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi said, “Dulal Bhuiyan joining BJP on the auspicious time of Mahashivratri is welcome. I have an old relationship with him. His coming will increase the strength of the party and we will be stronger in the Dalit area.” He said, “BJP was earlier a party of Ram devotees and now the descendants of Sabari have also joined, it is a matter of joy. Work for the victory of BJP supported candidates in the civic elections.” State President Aditya Sahu said, “BJP is a party with ideology, which cares about the interest of the person standing at the last rung. Today a big leader of Bhuiyan community has joined with his supporters. We do not discriminate in the society, we take everyone along.” Taking aim at the Congress, he said, “Congress never honored Baba Saheb Ambedkar, for them only the Nehru-Gandhi family is important. BJP gave Bharat Ratna to Ambedkar, made Ramnath Kovind the President.”
