Cyclist injured after being hit by car dies during treatment

Siddharthnagar. On Sunday, near Khairhaniya on the Shohratgarh-Dhebarua 730 highway, a speeding car driver hit a cyclist, due to which the cyclist was seriously injured. Kishundev was going towards Dhebarua on a bicycle when the car driver coming at a high speed from the front hit him near village Khairhaniya on the highway, due to which he fell and got seriously injured and the car driver started running away at high speed. Meanwhile, the car overturned on the side of the road. The people in the car came out and ran away. Dhebarua police took the injured to Shohratgarh CHC by ambulance, where the doctor found Madhav Prasad to be in serious condition. Tripathi Medical College. He died during treatment. The car belongs to SSB jawan Ranjit Chauhan, who is a resident of Harpur in Farenda police station area of Maharajganj district and is posted in Kathgodam, Uttarakhand. He was going home with his wife and two sons to attend a wedding in his family on 19 February.

Police station in-charge Narayan Lal Srivastava said that the car driver hit the cyclist near Khairhaniya. The injured was taken to CHC Shohratgarh, where seeing his condition serious, he was sent to the Medical College Siddharthnagar by ambulance. He died during treatment.
