Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel visited Pashupatinath temple and offered prayers on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival on Sunday.
President Paudel along with his wife Savita Paudel reached the temple and performed special puja on Mahashivratri. The chief priest of the temple offered sacred flowers and prasad to the head of state.
Earlier, President of Pashupati Area Development Fund (PADT), Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Anil Kumar Sinha, Secretary of the Ministry, officials of PADT, local level public representatives and senior officials of Guthi Sansthan welcomed President Paudel in the temple premises.
Every year, as the Head of State, the President offers prayers at the Pashupatinath Temple on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
