India beat Pakistan in Colombo, T20 World Cup 2026: Team India defeated Pakistan in a one-sided fashion by 61 runs on 15th February in Colombo. Before the match, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga won the toss. After winning the toss, he invited India to bat first. Batting first, India scored 175 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs against the opposing team Pakistan. In response, Pakistan team was reduced to 114 runs in 18 overs. Accordingly, once again Surya and Company broke the pride of Pakistan and registered a spectacular victory in the important match of T20 World Cup 2026.

Ishan Kishan blasted Pakistani bowlers
For Team India, Ishan Kishan played the highest innings of 77 runs and maintained pressure on Pakistan’s bowlers. The Indian team, who came to bat first, did not have a good start and in the very first over, Abhishek Sharma was out without opening the account. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga sent him to the pavilion. After this, Ishan Kishan took over the innings and by the end of the powerplay, India had scored 52 runs for one wicket. Ishan Kishan batted aggressively and completed his half-century in 27 balls. He faced 40 balls and scored 77 runs, which included 10 fours and 3 sixes.

From the other end, Tilak Verma contributed 25 runs in 24 balls, but he could not play a big innings. India suffered some quick setbacks in the middle overs. Hardik Pandya got caught out on the very first ball while trying to play a big shot. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 32 runs in 29 balls and took the innings forward. Shivam Dubey was run out after scoring 27 runs in 17 balls, while Akshar Patel returned after being caught on the very first ball.
Sam Ayub got three wickets
Sam Ayub took maximum three wickets for Pakistan. Apart from this, Usman, Shaheen and Salman Ali Aga got one wicket each. Usman Tariq got a chance to bowl in the 11th over and he gave only 6 runs in his first over. In this match, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Captain Salman Ali Aga said that the team has not made any changes in the playing eleven. Two changes were made in the Indian team. Abhishek Sharma got a chance in place of Sanju Samson, while Kuldeep Yadav was included in place of Arshdeep Singh. Abhishek Sharma could not play the last match against Namibia due to stomach infection, but returned to the team after being fit for this match.
Four Indian bowlers got 2-2 wickets.
In this match, the bowlers of Team India performed brilliantly and all out Pakistan for 114 runs. Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Varun Chakraborty got 2-2 wickets for India. Whereas, Kuldeep Yadav and Tilak Verma took 1 wicket each.

Pakistan’s flop batting
Pakistan batsmen proved to be a flop against India in Colombo. No player could complete his half-century for Pakistan. Wicketkeeper batsman Usman Khan played the highest innings of 44 runs for the team. At the end Shaheen Shah Afridi scored 23 runs. At the same time, Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam became the victim of Akshar Patel after scoring only 5 runs. Overall, all the star batsmen of Pakistan proved to be ineffective in front of India.
