Domestic dispute took a violent turn, husband stabbed wife in the stomach
Nawada. A domestic dispute turned violent on Sunday in Khatangi village of Parnadabar police station area of Nawada district, when the husband allegedly attacked his wife with a knife.
The injured woman Shahnaz Khatoon was first given first aid from a rural doctor of the village. Seeing the serious situation, the family took him to the Primary Health Centre, Sirdala, at around 4 pm.
Dr. Umesh Kumar Sharma, the doctor on duty, said after investigation that a cut wound was found in the woman’s stomach, on which four to five stitches were placed. After prolonged treatment, he was sent home. According to the doctor, the woman’s condition is currently out of danger.
The injured woman alleged that she had an argument with her husband Asraf Ansari over food. It is alleged that the husband was under the influence of alcohol and with the intention of killing her, he ran with a knife and stabbed her in the stomach.
Son Mohammad Asif told that his father often remains drunk and has already been sentenced in a criminal case. He feared that his mother’s life might be in danger in the future also.
According to local people, the accused has a criminal history and has served a sentence of about ten years in a case. Police are investigating the matter and have said necessary action will be taken.
