Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor’s movie “Nayak: The Real Hero” released in 2001 became a huge hit. Anil Kapoor played the role of Shivaji Rao, a cameraman for a news channel. In the film, he becomes Chief Minister for a day, fights corruption and opposes Amrish Puri’s character. In an interview, he revealed that he received offers from several political parties after the release of the film, but decided to stay away from politics.

Anil Kapoor He disclosed this in an interview to The Indian Express. He said, “There were some discussions, but I stopped them early. They are very smart. Because the people who offer you something don’t do it directly. It comes to you through somebody else. You think the other person doesn’t want to do it.”

Anil Kapoor added, “If I want to do it, I have to do it seriously and honestly. But I don’t have the capacity to be completely dedicated. I want to give 100 percent to whatever I do. When Slumdog Millionaire released, I went to America and was asked to be the brand ambassador many times. Sometimes, when you are in the news, organizations around the world want to work with you.”

Made on a budget of 20 crores, Nayak grossed ₹106 million in India and ₹196.1 million worldwide, while grossing ₹170.5 million (₹170.5 million). The film was a flop at the box office. Rani Mukherjee and Shivaji Satam also played roles in it. It was directed by Shankar.

A sequel to “Nayak” is also slated to release. Producer Dimak Mukut revealed that work on “Nayak 2” is underway. He and Anil Kapoor will jointly produce it. Anil Kapoor will also star in it. The film is in the works and its rights have been acquired. Anil Kapoor will be seen in the Amazon Prime movie “Subhedaar” which releases on Holi. He will also be seen in the web series “Family Business” with Vijay Varma.
