‘Putin war slave’, Zelensky asks West for ‘weapons’ to stop Russian aggression

Far from stopping the four-year-long Russia-Ukraine war, it has become increasingly serious. Ukraine has been heavily damaged by the Russian attack. In this serious situation, the President of Ukraine Zelensky called Russian President Vladimir Putin a ‘slave of war’. Not only that, he requested the western world to supply air defense equipment and more weapons to prevent Russian aggression.

Ukrainian President Zelensky attended the security conference in Munich on Saturday. While speaking there, he highlighted Russia’s brutality. Referring to the Munich Agreement of 1938, Zelenskiy said, “To stop this war, going along the path of territorial concessions or territorial transfers will be like the Munich Agreement of 1938. It will not bring peace but will repeat historical mistakes.” Highlighting the horrors of the war that has been going on for the past 4 years, Zelensky said, “1.8 million soldiers of both countries have died in this war. They have destroyed eastern Ukraine and killed thousands of people. They have forced millions of people to emigrate.”

“He (Putin) may think of himself as the emperor of Russia, but in reality he is a slave of war,” the Ukrainian president said.

Kiev accuses Moscow of deliberately destroying all of Ukraine’s power grids. There is not a single power grid left in the country that has not been damaged by the Russian invasion. Due to which millions of people of the country have suffered in severe winter. In this situation, Zelensky’s appeal is for European countries to provide Ukraine with weapons and air defense equipment as soon as possible. After that, the president of Ukraine directly attacked Putin, saying, “He (Putin) may think of himself as the Russian emperor, but in reality he is a slave of war.”

It should be noted that next week, Russia and Ukraine are negotiating with the mediation of the United States to stop the war. In this situation, Zelensky said, there should be no gap from which they can start another war. With confidence in Europe, he claims, if European countries are allowed to sit at the negotiating table, the war is more likely to end. But Russia has consistently opposed it. With no sign of diplomatic progress to end the war, he appealed to the Western allies to make a quick political decision.
