Now actors cry with ‘Tear Stick’, not glycerin, revealed in viral video
Emotional scenes of films sometimes make the audience cry, despite knowing that they are actors acting and their tears are also fake. But some scenes are so emotional that they force you to shed real tears. However, more than half of the audience knows that actors shed natural tears because of glycerine. But this is no longer the case.
Nowadays its real secret is a small thing called Tear Stick. Recently, director Amit Kumar Jha shared a short 55-second video, which is going viral on social media. In this video, he himself explains how crying scenes are shot on screen. At the beginning of the video he says, ‘It will look like white lipstick to you, but does anyone apply white lipstick under the eyes?’ Then he shows actress Anurima Chakraborty of the serial ‘Tod Kar Dil Mera’. He applies this stick just below their eyes. The actress says smilingly – ‘This is not lipstick, it is a tear stick.’
What exactly is a tear stick?
It is a small, white stick, which looks exactly like lipstick and the packaging is also similar. But it is not used on the lips, but on the skin just below the eyes. Earlier, actors had to put glycerine drops in their eyes to stop crying, which caused burning, redness and a lot of discomfort in the eyes. Sometimes the eyes would even get swollen. But after the arrival of tear stick, this old problem has ended. This is a completely safe, easy and natural way to bring tears.
How does this stick work?
Ashish Raghav, an actor of a Star Plus serial, has told that this stick is made of wax containing menthol. When it is applied under the eyes, this wax melts due to body heat. Due to this, a little menthol vapor comes out, which reaches upwards towards the eyes. This steam creates a feeling of slight coolness and slight burning sensation in the eyes. outcome? The eyes automatically start shedding natural tears without any harm, without pain and in a very natural way. These tears look absolutely real, so the audience also feels that the actor is really crying emotionally. If necessary, more than one layer can be applied, due to which the effect becomes more intense. After use, it is easily cleaned with soap-water or makeup remover.
