Rajpal Yadav: Film actor Rajpal Yadav is currently in Tihar jail. This is related to a check bounce case of Rs 9 crore. After his bail hearing on Thursday (February 12), Delhi High Court adjourned it till Monday and ordered the complainant to reply.

After the news of Rajpal Yadav going to jail, Bollywood stars and many other celebrities supported him and offered financial help. After many actors like Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sonu Sood, now film director Priyadarshan has also offered help and expressed his reaction.

Priyadarshan responded

Priyadarshan told that he has known Rajpal Yadav for 20 years. He said that Rajpal is one of his favorite actors. Both of them have worked together in many films, like Hungama, Garam Masala, Malamaal Vicky, Chup Chup Ke, Bhagam Bhag, Dhol, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Mere Baap Pehle Aap, Billu, De Dana Daan and Rangrezz.

They are now working together again in the film Bhoot Bangla, whose release date is fixed for April 10, 2026. Priyadarshan recalled that he first saw Rajpal in the film Jungle (2000) and was impressed by his acting.

Decision to pay special fee to Rajpal Yadav

Priyadarshan also told that he has asked the producers of his upcoming film Jubilee Films to pay Rajpal Yadav more than his normal fees. The reason for this is their current circumstances. The director said that the team wants to support Rajpal in this difficult time and the producers have accepted this decision.

Priyadarshan also said that Rajpal Yadav will be seen in the role of villain in this film.

Rajpal Yadav’s recent films and popularity

Rajpal Yadav is famous in Bollywood for films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Waqt, Phir Hera Pheri, Partner, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Hungama. Recently, Delhi High Court rejected his plea for extension of time in his check bounce case, after which he was sent to Tihar Jail.
