USA defeated Namibia by 31 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai after posting a huge target of 200 in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
USA won the toss and elected to bat first in their last group-stage fixture of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. They started well, as Shayan Jahangir and Monank Patel added 68 runs in just 6.5 overs.
Sanjay Krishnamurthi showed his brilliant batting, scoring 68 off 33 balls with a 206 strike rate. Along the way, Monank set the platform, amassing 52 off 30 balls, giving the middle-order batters a chance to hit their shots. The USA set a 200 target for Namibia.
From Namibia, Gerhard Erasmus, the team captain, took two wickets. Willem Myburg also dismissed two batters, but other bowlers were ordinary.
