PM Modi will inaugurate ‘AI Impact Expo 2026’, global leaders, experts and innovators will gather on one platform.
Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate ‘AI Impact Expo 2026’ at Bharat Mandapam on Monday. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) gave this information. PMO issued a statement saying that ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026’ will be organized from 16 to 20 February at Bharat Mandapam along with ‘India AI Impact Summit’. This expo will be a national platform for practical demonstration of AI, where policy meets practice, innovation becomes widespread and technology reaches the common citizen.
The statement said that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026’ at Bharat Mandapam on February 16 at 5 pm. The expo will be held across 10 arenas spread over an area of over 70,000 square metres, bringing together global technology companies, startups, academics and research institutes, central ministries, state governments and international partners.
The expo will also have pavilions from 13 countries showcasing international collaboration in AI systems. These include pavilions from Australia, Japan, Russia, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan and Africa. The expo will feature over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations built around three key themes – people, planet and progress.
The expo will also feature over 600 high-potential startups, many of which are building globally relevant and population-level solutions. These startups will showcase relevant solutions that are already in use in the real world. More than 25 lakh visitors, including international delegates, are expected to participate in the ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026’.
The event aims to foster new partnerships and create business opportunities within the global AI ecosystem. More than 500 sessions will be organized in it, which will include more than 3,250 visionary speakers and panellists. The main objective of these sessions will be to acknowledge the transformative impact of AI across various sectors and deliberate on future actions to ensure that every global citizen benefits from AI.
India’s public participation in AI conference
The Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in collaboration with Intel India under the India AI Mission has prepared a nationwide campaign focused on Responsible AI to commemorate the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI). It will be launched on Monday at 8:00 am Indian time. This conference, which is going to be hosted by India on AI technology that is bringing a new revolution, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday evening and the “Most Pledges Received for an AI Responsibility Campaign in 24 Hours” will start from tomorrow morning.
Politicians, government officials, heads of large technology and communication companies, social activists, startups and policy regulators and technologists from all over the world are participating in this conference. The conference will continue till 20 February. This initiative of the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology aims to create Guinness World Records for those demonstrating commitment in support of Responsible AI.
The campaign aims to engage citizens across the country to commit to the ethical, inclusive and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, reinforcing India’s commitment towards building trustworthy and human-centric AI systems, the ministry said in a release. Digital pledge to support this campaign will be available on AIPledge.IndiaAI.gov.in.
The campaign has been designed to be accessible to all sectors and people and easy to participate in. It does not require microphone or camera access and has no eligibility criteria or eligibility barriers. Participants will be able to register themselves on the official portal of this campaign through a simple process. Verification of their participation will be done through OTP (email ID or phone number). They must engage with short scenario-based awareness questions and formally submit to the AI Responsibility Pledge.
The initiative encourages participation from students, teachers, parents, government officials, public sector representatives, industry professionals, startup companies and citizens from diverse backgrounds. With a special emphasis on youth engagement, the campaign aims to raise awareness about responsible use of AI, data privacy, accountability and combating misinformation. The AI Responsibility Pledge campaign is the main citizen engagement effort at this AI conference in India.
The main theme of this conference is that AI should grow based on the three guiding principles of ‘People (Humanity), Planet (Earth) and Unnati (Progress)’ and by taking advantage of this, the world should move towards an inclusive and development-oriented future. India aims to set a historic benchmark in responsible AI engagement through strong ecosystem collaboration and nationwide mobilization and further strengthen public trust in emerging technologies.
