Kolkata, 16 February. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has suspended 7 officials of the Mamata Banerjee government i.e. West Bengal. The Chief Secretary of Bengal has been instructed to initiate disciplinary action against the officers. This action has been taken for ‘serious wrongdoing, dereliction of duty and misuse of legal powers in relation to SIR.
The list of all the names came out
The list of names of the officers who have been suspended by ECI has also come out. This name is AERO, Dr. Sefaur Rehman, Assistant Director of Agriculture Department, 56-Samserganj Assembly Seat, District Murshidabad. Nitish Das was posted as Revenue Officer, Farakka and AERO for 55-Farakka Assembly seat.
SK. Murshid Alam was also suspended
AERO, Dalia Ray Chaudhary, Women Development Office, Maynaguri Development Block and AERO, 16-Maynaguri Assembly Seat, Sk. Murshid Alam, ADA, Suti Block and AERO worked for 57-Suti assembly constituency.
Debashish Biswas also suspended
Satyajit Das, Joint BDO and Joydeep Kundu, FEO both worked for AERO 139-Canning Purbo assembly constituency. Debashish Biswas, joint BDO and AERO worked for 229-Debra assembly constituency.
Mamta Banerjee reached Supreme Court against SIR
Bengal CM also reached the Supreme Court against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Hearing on the petition filed by Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the Supreme Court is going on, but the court has given a strict message of not tolerating any kind of stoppage or obstruction in the SIR process.
