Greater Noida. In Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, an innocent child died by drowning in a pit due to negligence. Just one month ago, software engineer Yuvraj Mehta in Noida, then Kamal in Delhi and now on Sunday, three-year old innocent Devansh became the victim of a car accident in Greater Noida.

He had come to his maternal uncle’s house in village Dalelgarh for a religious ritual. While playing on Saturday afternoon, he fell into a six to seven feet deep pit. The villagers allege that this pit is on cattle land. Complaints were made several times to Greater Noida Authority for fencing it but the authorities have not taken any action. The authority claims that this land belongs to the farmer.

Anjali, daughter of Anil Thakur, resident of Dalelgarh village near Bilaspur, is married to Rakesh, resident of Saponi village of Secunderabad. Anil cuts hair at weddings and other events. Anjali’s brother Devendra had organized a 41-day religious ritual at the Samadhi of Daleshwar Baba in the village. Saturday was his last day. During this time Bhandara was taking place.

Devansh drowned in a pit while playing

Anjali had come to this event with son Devansh and other family members. During Bhandara, Devansh drowned in a pit while playing with other children. After some time, when there was no trace of him, his family and relatives started searching for him but nothing was found.

Child’s hat seen in water filled pit

Meanwhile, someone saw a child’s cap in the water filled in the pit near the mausoleum. People immediately entered the water and pulled out the child. They immediately took him to the nearest hospital where doctors declared him dead. There was mourning at the venue of the child’s death. During this time, the condition of the family members also became miserable due to crying.

After the incident, Sadar Tehsildar Dr. Ajay, Naib Tehsildar Jyot Singh and Lekhpal reached the spot. Deputy District Magistrate Ashutosh Gupta reached the spot on Sunday and inspected the spot. Apart from this, the team of Greater Noida Authority also reached the spot and investigated.

The pit in which the child drowned is cattle land: Villager

Villagers Amit Bhati, Krishnakant Sharma, Vinod, Leelu Pradhan, Ravi etc. told that the pit in which the innocent man drowned is in the cattle land. He said that whoever felt like taking out soil from here could do so. Sometimes the authorities and sometimes the villagers took soil from this land and thus it became a deadly pit. On the other hand, it gradually started getting filled with rain and drain water. The villagers allege that they demanded fencing from the Greater Noida Authority officials fearing an accident due to water filling in the pit, but no attention was paid.

This land belongs to the farmers: Authority

As soon as the news of the accident was received, the senior manager of Work Circle was sent to the spot. Investigation revealed that there is a pit on the land of Khasra number 373 which is filled with water. This land belongs to villagers Gangaram and Dharamveer. ADCP Greater Noida Sudhir Singh said that no complaint has been given by the family in the Dalelgarh accident. Action will be taken upon receiving the complaint.
