Tank built for Rs 65 lakh, water started flowing like a waterfall as soon as it was filled

A video has surfaced from Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh which has exposed the government’s claims. Here, a water tank built at a cost of lakhs under the Jal Jeevan Mission was filled and it started flowing like a waterfall. The local people were surprised to see this sight.

About Rs 65 lakh of public tax was spent in building this water tank. Everyone expected that now water would start coming to the houses in the village but the reality turned out to be different. After the work was completed, when it was filled with water to check it, the very next day the tank became bursting and water started falling from top to bottom. It is clearly visible that very poor quality material has been used in making the tank and there has been great carelessness in the way the work was done.

Congress shared the video

Now politics has intensified regarding this matter. While sharing the video of this incident on its social media handle, Congress has directly targeted the Modi government and the BJP government of UP. Congress says that big schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission have now become a den of corruption instead of public service. The party taunted and said that this is not a minor technical glitch, rather it is a living proof of the scams taking place during the BJP rule.

What else did Congress say?

The opposition’s direct allegation is that contracts for these government schemes are often given to people who are associated with BJP. After this the public money is embezzled. Taking a dig at the Prime Minister’s claims, the Congress said that now the saying ‘I will not eat, I will not let you eat’ has become old, now the game of ‘you eat and feed me too’ is going on. According to him, people are only filling their pockets in the name of public needs and this tank of Mahoba is the result of that.
