Mark Zuckerberg set to become Jeff Bezos’ billionaire neighbor in Florida

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, along with his wife Priscilla Chan, is reportedly in talks to become neighbors with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in one of the most elite areas in the country, referred to as the Billionaire Bunker, also named Indian Creek Village.

Across the globe, it has been reported that the couple is in negotiations to acquire a luxurious estate on nearly two acres of land, with the possible price range being between $150 million to $200 million. The estate, which is currently associated with Peter Conkro, the founder of Jersey Mix Greens, is located on the western side of the private island, with a full view of Biscayne Bay, only a short distance from Bezos’ estate, which consists of multiple plots of land. Although the paperwork has not been signed, it has been reported that Zuckerberg could be moving into the estate as early as April 2026.

Indian Creek Village has been described as a unique combination of security, luxury, and seclusion. This is especially attractive to billionaires like Zuckerberg, who will be able to avoid paying state income tax, which could mean a potential saving of tens of millions of dollars.

This will not be Zuckerberg’s first foray into luxurious homes, as he currently owns homes in California, Washington, D.C., Lake Tahoe, and Kaua‘i. This will be a new experience for him, as this will be a new location that will put him in the company of some of the country’s most influential people, including NFL icon Tom Brady and corporate kingpin Carl Icahn.

It sits on 300 acres of land with only 41 private lots, a gated bridge, a police force, and a full golf course. The reputation of the island as ultra-private and exclusive has even given it the nickname “Billionaire Bunker.” Bezos, who moved to Florida in 2023, has assembled a massive private compound through a series of purchases that cost hundreds of millions of dollars, including homes for $68 million and $79 million in 2023, and another for $87 million in 2024.

This potential move for Zuckerberg represents a smart financial play as well as a step up for the tech mogul in terms of maximum privacy, beautiful views, and proximity to other tech and business industry leaders. Real estate experts continue to tout Florida’s tax advantages and sheltered, gated communities as a draw for ultra-high-net-worth individuals seeking to stash their wealth while living a luxurious lifestyle.

If it happens, Silicon Valley and Amazon converge in one of America’s most elite islands, bringing Zuckerberg and Bezos side by side in a location that reflects the prestige worthy of tech industry giants.
