Delhi High Court order
Delhi High Court has granted interim bail to Rajpal Yadav till March 18 in the check bounce case. The court was also informed about transfer of Rs 1.5 crore by Yadav to the complainant’s account. Background of the case
According to court records, Rajpal Yadav had taken a loan of around Rs 5 crore for the production of his film. The loan could not be repaid on time due to the film’s box office failure, following which the bank took legal action. Several hearings were held in this case over the years, in which the court repeatedly gave directions to ensure payment of the dues. When payment was not made within the stipulated time limit, the court took a strict stance. In 2018, he was sent to Tihar Jail for disobeying court orders. Recently on 6 February 2026, the court again ordered him to surrender in Tihar Jail.
