India faces West Indies and South Africa in Super-8

New Delhi: India’s winning campaign continues in the T20 World Cup 2026. India has registered a spectacular victory in three matches so far. In the match held in Colombo, India achieved a record victory by defeating Pakistan by 61 runs. With this victory, India has qualified for Super 8.
The performance of the ‘Men in Blue’ under the captaincy of captain Suryakumar Yadav has been impressive in this tournament. India have secured 6 points by winning three consecutive matches in the first three matches of the group stage, thereby ensuring their place in the Super-8. However, there is one more match left in the group stage. The Indian team will try to win this last match and remain on top of the group and maintain its form in the next round.
The path to Super-8 will be challenging
The Super-8 round is not going to be easy for the Indian team, because here they will face the best teams of the world. According to the report, India’s Super-8 group includes two major teams, South Africa and West Indies. Both of them have qualified for the next round by performing excellently in their group.

Second match (26 February)
After this, the Indian team will reach Chennai for its second Super-8 match on 26th February. However, it is not yet clear who will face India in this match. Third match (1 March)
India’s last and very important match in the Super-8 round will be played on March 1. On this day, the Indian team will face West Indies, who is in great form so far in this tournament. This exciting match will be held in the historic Eden Gardens of Kolkata.

The format of Super-8 is now clear to a great extent. A total of 5 out of 8 teams, which include India, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka and New Zealand, have secured their place in the next round.
